President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. vowed on Tuesday that 12 stations of the Metro Rail Transit Line 7 (MRT-7) will be opened to the public next year, as reported by Philstar Biz. The new rail line is expected to significantly ease commuting from Metro Manila to Bulacan province.
The MRT-7 line will run from North Avenue in Quezon City to Sacred Heart in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, covering a distance of approximately 23 kilometers. The 12 stations include key stops such as Quezon Memorial Circle, University Avenue, and Tandang Sora, among others.
The project, which has faced several delays, is a key infrastructure priority of the administration. Once fully operational, MRT-7 is expected to serve around 300,000 passengers daily, reducing travel time between North Avenue and San Jose del Monte to about 35 minutes from the current two hours by road.
