Lanao del Sur Rep. Ziaur-Rahman A. Adiong has filed a cyberlibel complaint against lawyer Levito D. Baligod and the 18 bagmen before the Marawi City Prosecutor Office, BusinessWorld reported.
The complaint stems from allegations that the respondents received cash-filled suitcases from former Rep. Elizaldy S. Co. Adiong is also seeking a total of P25 million in damages, according to his statement.
This is the latest legal action involving the bagmen, who have been at the center of controversy over alleged irregular fund transfers. No date for the preliminary investigation has been set as of press time.
