Healthtech social enterprise 1Life, Inc. has partnered with Singapore Diagnostics (SGD) to provide free laboratory tests to PhilHealth members enrolled in the Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP), BusinessWorld reported. The collaboration aims to expand access to preventive healthcare services across the country.
Under the partnership, YAKAP patients under 1Life may avail of nine diagnostic tests at no cost. The program targets early detection and management of common health conditions, particularly for underserved communities.
The initiative complements PhilHealth’s push for universal health coverage by removing financial barriers to laboratory services. 1Life and SGD plan to roll out the free testing in multiple clinics nationwide, with a focus on areas with limited healthcare access.
