ABOITIZ INFRACAPITAL, Inc., the operator of Laguindingan International Airport, said it will continue the airport’s phased expansion in line with the Municipality of Laguindingan’s Masterplan 2050. The company made the announcement in a statement reported by BusinessWorld.
“Looking ahead, Laguindingan International Airport will continue to undergo phased improvements as part of its long-term development roadmap,” Aboitiz InfraCapital said in a statement on Sunday. The expansion is part of the municipality's comprehensive plan to guide growth and infrastructure development through 2050.
The airport serves as a key gateway to Northern Mindanao and has seen increasing passenger traffic in recent years. The phased improvements are expected to enhance capacity and passenger experience while supporting regional economic growth.
