The four-day Asia Clean Energy Forum (ACEF) 2026, sponsored by the Asian Development Bank and held at its headquarters in Mandaluyong, concluded with a strong emphasis on building a sustainable and resilient energy system, according to a report by Philstar Biz.
The forum highlighted the need to integrate more renewable energy sources—including solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal—as the world moves to reduce dependence on volatile energy sources that may be affected by conflict, as well as traditional but environmentally polluting sources such as crude oil and coal. Nuclear energy, which remains controversial, was also part of the discussions.
ACEF 2026 served as a platform for policymakers, industry leaders, and experts to share strategies and best practices for accelerating the clean energy transition across Asia and the Pacific, with the goal of achieving long-term energy security and environmental sustainability.
