The number of aftershocks following the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck Mindanao on Monday has reached at least 1,352, of which 35 were felt, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said on Tuesday, as reported by BusinessWorld.

PHIVOLCS logged the aftershocks across 391 areas, with magnitudes ranging from 1.3 to 6.4, according to data sent to reporters via Viber as of 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

The 7.8-magnitude tremor, which hit Mindanao on June 9, prompted authorities to monitor for further seismic activity as aftershocks continue to be recorded.
