Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (Aramco) is set to open its first branded gasoline station in the Philippines this month, deepening its presence in the country’s downstream oil market following its investment in Unioil Petroleum Philippines, Inc. last year, according to BusinessWorld.
The company will inaugurate its first station in Parañaque City on July 16, as confirmed by a media advisory. The move marks Aramco’s direct retail entry into the Philippine market, where it already has a foothold through its minority stake in Unioil.
The expansion aligns with Aramco’s strategy to grow its global downstream operations. The Philippines, a net importer of refined petroleum products, presents opportunities for international players as demand for fuel continues to rise.
