BAIC Philippines recorded a 10% increase in year-to-date sales through May 2026, as reported by automotive news site Zigwheels.

The Chinese automaker, which entered the Philippine market in 2019, has been expanding its dealership network and vehicle lineup, including the X35 and X55 crossovers. The growth aligns with the brand's strategy to capture a larger share of the country's budget SUV segment.

Industry analysts note that BAIC's performance comes amid overall expansion in the Philippine automotive sector, with total vehicle sales projected to exceed 500,000 units in 2026. The company's 10% growth signals increasing consumer acceptance of Chinese brands in the local market.
