The Bureau of Customs (BoC) said it is on track to exceed its July collection target by at least P2 billion, with three collection days still to be accounted for in the month, according to a report by BusinessWorld.
Based on daily averages established so far, the agency said it already has an excess of almost P2 billion against its target. Officials expressed confidence that the remaining collection days will sustain the surplus as the month concludes.
The BoC's strong performance underscores its ongoing efforts to improve revenue collection and trade facilitation. The agency has consistently aimed to meet or surpass its assigned collection goals as part of the government's broader fiscal program.
