Veteran producer Maria Rosario “Charo” Santos-Concio is up for election again as board director of media giant ABS-CBN Corp., according to Philstar Biz.
Her possible return comes as ABS-CBN continues to recover from the loss of its broadcast franchise in 2020. Santos-Concio previously served as the company’s president and chief executive officer and has been a board member for years.
If elected, she would help guide the company’s strategic direction as it pivots to digital platforms and new revenue streams. Her election is expected to be raised at ABS-CBN’s upcoming annual shareholders’ meeting, where shareholders will vote on the board slate.
