Consumer expectations across Asia Pacific are evolving rapidly, driven by artificial intelligence and a demand for frictionless personalization, according to a report from TechPinas. The Philippines is emerging as one of the region's most dynamic digital markets, putting pressure on brands to deliver instant, relevant experiences beyond traditional rewards programs.

Aziz Kastoun, an account executive for ANZ at Eagle Eye, noted during a Manila industry event that the biggest loyalty gap is not about rewards but about seamless experiences. "APAC consumers expect a seamless experience where value is recognised and applied instantly," he said, highlighting that many brands still rely on manual, clunky processes.

Industry experts believe customer loyalty is shifting from traditional programs to real-time personalization and trusted data usage. As businesses invest in digital transformation, the competitive advantage will come from recognizing customers instantly and removing friction from every interaction, rather than simply offering rewards.
