The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has launched an initiative called "eGov App on Wheels" aimed at bringing e-government services to remote and hard-to-access areas across the Philippines, as reported by YugaTech. The mobile units are designed to assist citizens who lack internet connectivity or access to digital services.

The deployment coincides with the DICT's 10th anniversary and National ICT Month. The mobile units will provide services such as online document processing, digital identity registration, and access to other government portals, helping bridge the digital divide in underserved communities.

The DICT's mobile initiative is part of broader efforts to promote digital inclusion and ensure that all Filipinos can benefit from the country's digital transformation programs. The agency plans to expand the coverage of the eGov App on Wheels to more isolated areas in the coming months.
