According to YugaTech, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) through its eGovernment Office has opened pre-registration for eGovHackathon 2026, a two-day event aimed at fostering innovation in digital government services.

The hackathon is designed to encourage developers, designers, and students to create solutions that improve public service delivery. Participants will have the opportunity to collaborate with government agencies and access open data platforms to build prototypes addressing real-world challenges in governance.

Interested individuals can pre-register through the official DICT eGov Hackathon portal. The deadline for pre-registration has not yet been announced. The event is expected to attract participants from across the Philippines, with winners receiving cash prizes and potential incubation support.
