The Department of Information and Communications Technology’s flagship eGovPH app has surpassed 800 million transactions while reaching 56 million downloads, according to a report by Philstar Biz. The figures represent a 700% surge in transactions, underscoring the rapid adoption of digital government services among Filipinos.
The eGovPH app serves as a unified platform for accessing various government services, including document requests, payments, and information inquiries. The surge in usage indicates a growing preference for online transactions over traditional in-person processes, aligning with the government’s digital transformation goals.
DICT officials have credited the app’s growth to improved user experience, expanded service offerings, and increased internet penetration across the country. The milestone reflects the agency’s ongoing efforts to streamline public service delivery through technology.
