DigiPlus Interactive Corp. reported its second-quarter net income more than doubled to P6.98 billion, driven by fair value gains from its investment in International Entertainment Corp. (IEC) convertible notes, according to BusinessWorld.

Excluding the non-operating gain, the company’s core net income rose 8% to P2.35 billion, supported by higher monthly average bettors and depositors (MABD). The digital entertainment provider continues to see strong engagement across its platforms.

The investment in IEC convertible notes highlights DigiPlus’s strategy to diversify beyond its core gaming operations. While fair value gains can be volatile, the underlying growth in user activity indicates sustained demand for its digital entertainment services.
