Revenue collections from the government’s tax administration agencies remain on track to meet full-year targets, the Department of Finance (DoF) said, as reported by BusinessWorld.
Finance Undersecretary Rolando T. Ligon, Jr. noted that the January-to-April collection performance of both the Bureau of Customs (BoC) and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) was strong, keeping the government’s revenue outlook positive despite challenges.
The DoF’s assessment comes amid foregone excise taxes, but Ligon expressed confidence that the overall collection target for the year remains achievable, with continued monitoring and enforcement efforts.
