The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) said processing times for permits have dropped due to the Energy Virtual One-Stop Shop (EVOSS) system, as reported by BusinessWorld.
In a statement on Wednesday, the ERC said three processes handled through the EVOSS portal are outperforming the timelines prescribed by the 2020 Citizen’s Charter. These include the authority to develop and operate point-to-point, among others.
The agency did not provide specific figures but noted the improvement reflects the efficiency gains from the digital platform, which streamlines applications and reduces bureaucratic delays.
