GOTIANUN-LED FILINVEST Land, Inc. has turned over a 6,000-square-meter (sq.m.) property in Bicutan to the Department of Transportation (DoTr) to facilitate the development of the Bicutan Station, according to BusinessWorld. The property developer said the Bicutan Station will serve as an interchange between railway lines, enhancing connectivity in the area.
The land turnover is part of Filinvest's broader plan to connect its adjacent 6.5-hectare property to the future rail hub. The company aims to develop a mixed-use community around the station, leveraging the increased accessibility to attract businesses and residents.
The Bicutan Station is expected to become a key transport node, improving commuter flow in Metro Manila's southern corridor. Filinvest's move aligns with the government's push for transit-oriented development to decongest major thoroughfares.
