GAC International Philippines, a wholly owned subsidiary of Chinese automaker GAC Group, has been admitted as a member of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), the company announced on Monday. The membership allows the company to participate in shaping national policies that advance the automotive industry, according to a statement.

GAC, which sells vehicles in the Philippines under the GAC Motor brand, joins over a dozen automakers that are members of CAMPI, the country's largest automotive industry organization. CAMPI represents car manufacturers and assemblers in policy discussions with government agencies, including the Board of Investments and the Department of Trade and Industry.

The move underscores GAC's commitment to the Philippine market, where it has been expanding its dealer network and vehicle lineup. CAMPI membership is expected to strengthen the company's engagement with local industry stakeholders and government regulators as it seeks to grow its presence in the country.
