More than 200 nano, micro, small and medium enterprises (NMSMEs), including sari-sari store owners and vendors, gathered at the Wais Tindera Caravan in Cebu organized by GCash, according to Philstar Biz. The event aimed to deepen participants' understanding of digitalization and responsible borrowing as part of the fintech's ongoing financial inclusion efforts.
The caravan provided NMSMEs with practical tools to digitize their operations, including access to GCash's lending products such as GCredit, GGives, and GLoan. Attendees learned how to use these financial tools to manage cash flow, expand inventory, and grow their businesses without falling into debt traps.
GCash emphasized the importance of responsible borrowing, teaching participants how to assess loan terms, avoid over-leveraging, and build a healthy credit history. The Wais Tindera Caravan is part of a nationwide initiative to equip MSMEs with digital and financial literacy skills, reinforcing the company's commitment to empowering grassroots entrepreneurs.
