The government will release fiscal year 2024 performance-based bonuses to eligible employees within the year, Malacañang announced on Thursday, citing accelerated processing under a streamlined incentive system. Palace Press Officer Clarissa said the bonuses are expected to be granted in 2026, as reported by BusinessWorld.

The performance-based bonus system rewards government personnel who meet or exceed agency targets under the Results-Based Performance Management System. Qualified employees include those in departments that have achieved their performance commitments and complied with transparency and accountability standards.

The announcement comes amid efforts to improve efficiency in government compensation and motivate civil servants. The Palace did not specify the exact release date or total budget allocation for the bonuses.
