Holland & Barrett, the UK-based health and wellness retailer, is making a return to Singapore by partnering with Guardian, a leading health and beauty chain. The arrangement will see Holland & Barrett products available at Guardian's physical stores and online platform, according to a report by Inside Retail Asia.
The partnership allows the British retailer to leverage Guardian's existing retail footprint and customer base, bypassing the need for standalone stores. A company spokesperson said, "Partnering with Guardian allows us to meet customers where they already shop for their health and wellness needs." The move marks Holland & Barrett's second attempt at the Singapore market after a previous exit.
The collaboration reflects a broader trend of international health and wellness brands entering or re-entering Asian markets through established local retail partners rather than direct investment. Guardian, which operates over 100 stores in Singapore, will provide distribution and shelf space for Holland & Barrett's range of vitamins, supplements, and natural products.
