International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) posted a 21% rise in attributable net income to $296.41 million in the second quarter from $244.88 million a year earlier, driven by higher port revenues, cargo volumes, and new terminal contributions, according to a report by BusinessWorld.
The port operator said its April-to-June performance benefited from sustained demand for container handling services across its global terminal network, with contributions from recently acquired terminals also boosting volumes during the period.
ICTSI's results reflect broader trends in international shipping, as port operators handle increased throughput amid shifting trade routes and supply chain adjustments. With terminals in multiple countries, ICTSI's quarterly earnings serve as a gauge of global container trade activity.
