The International Federation of Robotics (IFR) has awarded the IERA Award 2026 to Verity, a Swiss company, for its flying warehouse robots. The award recognizes innovations in robotics and automation that demonstrate significant industrial impact.

Verity's system uses autonomous drones to autonomously scan and inventory pallets in warehouses, replacing manual or ground-based automated methods. The drones navigate through racking systems, reading barcodes and RFID tags to track inventory with high accuracy and speed.

This award underscores the growing role of aerial robotics in logistics and supply chain management. As e-commerce and just-in-time delivery demand faster inventory turns, flying robots offer a scalable solution to reduce labor costs and improve data accuracy in large distribution centers.
