Inchcape Philippines has divested its Mazda retail operations, according to a report by CarGuide.PH. The transaction involves the sale of multiple dealerships that previously handled the Japanese automaker's vehicles in the Philippine market.
The move aligns with Inchcape's global strategy of streamlining operations and focusing on core brands where it can achieve greater scale. The company has been reviewing its regional portfolio, and the Philippine Mazda network was identified as non-core.
The buyer and financial terms were not disclosed in the report. The sale is expected to close within the current quarter, after which Inchcape will no longer represent Mazda in the Philippines.
