Apple quietly included a Baybayin keyboard layout in iOS 27, announced at WWDC 2026. This is the first time Baybayin, the traditional script of the Philippines, is natively supported on iPhone, according to a report by YugaTech.

To enable the Baybayin keyboard, users can go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards > Add New Keyboard and select "Baybayin" from the list. Once added, they can switch to it via the globe icon on the keyboard.

The inclusion of Baybayin reflects Apple's growing support for indigenous scripts and languages. The update is available for iPhone models compatible with iOS 27.
