According to a report by TechPinas, Lenovo has announced it is delivering a near real-time AI-powered infrastructure platform for FIFA World Cup 2026, covering broadcasting, operations, and fan experiences.
The platform reduces IPTV broadcast delays to under five seconds, enabling synchronized viewing across over 1,000 screens in FIFA venues. It also supports an AI Mission Control from the International Broadcast Center in Dallas and FIFA's Technology Command Center in Miami, monitoring critical operations across three host countries and 48 competing teams.
Fan-facing innovations include 3D player avatars, enhanced referee perspectives, intelligent venue navigation, and advanced analytics. The tournament is expected to engage an estimated six billion fans, making Lenovo's technology backbone a key component of the event's scale.
