Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP) has signed a lease agreement to expand its aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operations within the Clark International Airport complex, according to BusinessWorld.
The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), LTP, and the Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp. signed the agreement on Tuesday, covering a 157,000-square-meter site within the airport complex. The deal supports LTP's expansion plans in the Philippines, reinforcing Clark's role as a key aviation hub.
The expansion is expected to boost the region's MRO capacity, creating jobs and strengthening the local aviation industry. LTP, a subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik, has been operating in the Philippines for over two decades.
