Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP) plans to roughly double the size and investment of its aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility in Clark after the first phase begins operations in 2028, according to BusinessWorld.
The expansion is intended to position the Philippines to capture growing demand for widebody aircraft servicing. LTP said the larger hub will significantly increase its capacity in the country, supporting airlines across the Asia-Pacific region as they expand their fleets.
The Clark hub is part of Lufthansa Technik's global MRO network. The company's commitment underscores the Philippines' growing role in aviation maintenance, driven by its strategic location and skilled workforce, with the second phase likely to be developed in stages following the first phase's operational debut.
