Razon-led Prime Energy has signed a deal to supply indigenous Malampaya natural gas to a major power plant in Batangas, according to Philstar Biz. The plant is jointly owned by tycoons Manuel V. Pangilinan, Ramon Ang, and Sabin Aboitiz.

Malampaya gas is a key domestic energy source, accounting for a significant portion of Luzon's power generation. The supply agreement ensures continued operation of the Batangas facility, which relies on natural gas for electricity production.

The deal highlights cooperation among major Philippine conglomerates in securing energy supply. It also underscores the importance of the Malampaya field in supporting the country's power needs amid global fuel price volatility.
