President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. will proceed with his scheduled visit to Canada to bolster bilateral relations and secure new agreements in critical economic sectors, Malacañang said on Wednesday, as reported by BusinessWorld.

Palace Press Officer Clarissa A. Castro said the President sees no reason to postpone the trip scheduled for July 1 to 4, amid rumors of destabilization. The visit aims to strengthen ties between the two countries and explore opportunities in trade, investment, and other key areas.

The announcement comes as the administration seeks to expand international partnerships despite domestic political noise. The Canada visit is expected to yield memoranda of understanding and agreements that could benefit the Philippine economy.
