Maynilad Water Services Inc., the West Zone concessionaire, has secured a P2 billion loan from CTBC Bank (Philippines) Corp. to support its capital spending program, Philstar Biz reported.

The loan will be used to finance infrastructure improvements and expansion projects across Maynilad's service area, which covers parts of Metro Manila and Cavite. The company has been investing heavily in water treatment facilities and pipe replacement to reduce system losses and improve service reliability.

The five-year facility is expected to bolster Maynilad's capital expenditure plans for 2026 and beyond, as the utility seeks to meet growing demand and regulatory requirements. This is the latest in a series of borrowings by Maynilad to fund its network upgrades, following a P1.3 billion loan from the same bank earlier this year.
