Power distributor Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) clarified on Sunday that customers with pending billing disputes will not have their electricity service disconnected while their cases are under review, according to a report by BusinessWorld.
Meralco Vice-President Joe Zaldarriaga stated, "We would like to clarify that electricity service of Meralco customers with pending billing concerns will not be disconnected while their cases are under investigation." The statement aims to reassure customers who may have concerns about potential disconnection due to unresolved billing issues.
The company encourages customers with billing concerns to reach out to Meralco's customer service channels for resolution. Meralco serves over seven million customers in Metro Manila and nearby provinces.
