The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) said it will pursue the collection of nearly P3.77 billion in outstanding supervision and regulation fee (SRF) liabilities, including penalties, from NOW Telecom Co., Inc. after the Supreme Court (SC) denied with finality the company’s motion for reconsideration. The NTC announced this in a statement on Sunday, citing the High Court's ruling.

The case stems from NOW Telecom's failure to pay SRF charges over several years. The SC's decision effectively ends the legal dispute, allowing the NTC to enforce the collection. The amount includes the principal fees and accumulated penalties as determined by the regulator.

News of the ruling was first reported by BusinessWorld. The NTC's move underscores its ongoing efforts to recover unpaid regulatory fees from telecommunications companies.
