The Office of the Special Assistant to the President (OSAP) on Sunday warned local government units and the public against fraudsters impersonating the agency to solicit money, as reported by BusinessWorld.

According to the OSAP advisory, it has received reports of groups falsely claiming a connection with the office to seek financial assistance or solicit funds from local officials and the public.

The advisory urges vigilance and reminds the public to verify any solicitations claiming to be from the OSAP before responding.
