Philippine Airlines (PAL) will join the U.S.-based oneworld Alliance as its 16th member, the carrier announced, citing a report from Philstar Biz . The move positions the flag carrier alongside global carriers such as American Airlines, British Airways, and Qatar Airways.
oneworld is one of the three major airline alliances, offering coordinated schedules, shared lounges, and reciprocal frequent-flyer benefits. Membership will allow PAL to tap into oneworld's extensive route network, particularly across North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
For passengers, the integration is expected to bring more seamless connections on international itineraries, improved loyalty program perks, and access to over 650 airports worldwide. PAL has not yet announced the official join date.
