MALACAÑANG on Tuesday said the state-run Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA), which oversees local water districts, continues to monitor joint venture partnerships and improve water services, while possible accountability for alleged service deficiencies involving PrimeWater Infrastructure Corp. remains under review, BusinessWorld reported.
Palace Press Officer Clarissa A. Castro said LWUA, upon the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., is actively addressing concerns and ensuring that water service providers meet their obligations. The review aims to determine accountability for any lapses in service delivery by PrimeWater.
The development comes amid ongoing scrutiny of water service quality and infrastructure investments in various regions. LWUA continues to oversee joint venture agreements to ensure compliance with standards and improve access to potable water.
