The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) is introducing a series of reforms designed to boost retail trading, according to a report by Bloomberg. The measures aim to make the local bourse more accessible and attractive to individual investors.

Among the proposed changes are lower trading fees, a simplified account opening process, and expanded educational programs. The PSE also plans to introduce new trading tools and mobile-friendly platforms to encourage participation.

The reforms come as the Philippine stock market sees increased interest from retail traders, but still lags behind regional peers in terms of individual investor involvement. The PSE hopes these initiatives will deepen market liquidity and broaden the investor base.
