The Philippines has concluded negotiations for a free trade agreement with Chile, marking the country’s first free trade deal in Latin America, Philstar Biz reported.

The agreement is expected to boost bilateral trade and investment, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, electronics, and services. Both countries aim to reduce tariffs and strengthen economic cooperation under the pact.

This landmark trade deal positions the Philippines as a more active player in Latin American markets, diversifying its trade portfolio beyond traditional partners in Asia and the United States.
