In a statement on Thursday, the Department of Finance (DoF) said it met with a Swedish delegation on June 9 to discuss opportunities to expand economic cooperation and investment ties between the two countries, according to a report by BusinessWorld.

The discussions focused on renewable energy, digitalization, manufacturing, and other strategic areas, with the Philippines pitching job-creating projects to the Swedish delegation.

The exploration of deeper cooperation comes as both countries seek to strengthen bilateral economic relations and attract investments that can generate employment in the Philippines.
