PLDT Inc. has activated 11 new fourth-generation (4G) long-term evolution (LTE) sites in Bohol, expanding its rural connectivity program in underserved areas, the telco announced in a statement on Monday as reported by BusinessWorld.
The new sites were deployed in the municipalities of Maribojoc and Antequera, boosting connectivity for residents and businesses in these areas. PLDT said the activation is part of its nationwide network rollout focused on bridging the digital divide in rural communities.
The expansion aligns with the Philippine government’s push for improved internet access in provincial areas. PLDT has been consistently investing in network infrastructure to support growing demand for reliable connectivity across the country.
