Philippine National Bank (PNB) said PNB Holdings Corp. (PHC) has set Sept. 25 as the target date for the listing of its shares on the Philippine Stock Exchange by way of introduction, as reported by BusinessWorld
Listing by introduction means the company is not raising new capital through an initial public offering but instead provides existing shareholders a platform to trade their shares. This method is often used to establish a public market valuation for the company.
The move is expected to provide liquidity for PHC shareholders and potentially pave the way for future capital raising activities. PNB, which holds a stake in PHC, will benefit from the enhanced transparency and market visibility.
