Port users call for more transparent BoC fee structure, speedier refunds

In a position paper, UPC highlighted the need for accessible information on charges imposed by shipping lines and cargo truck operators, calling for clearer disclosure to prevent hidden costs and improve accountability.

The group's appeal comes amid ongoing efforts to streamline port operations and reduce logistics costs in the Philippines, where opaque fee structures have long been a concern for importers and exporters.
