According to a report by Philstar Biz, the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) is proposing to lower the minimum public offer size for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to just P100 million, a tenfold reduction from the current requirement.
The move aims to encourage more SMEs to list on the exchange, providing them with access to capital markets. The PSE believes that the lower threshold will make public listing more accessible for smaller companies.
If approved, the new rule could significantly increase the number of listed SMEs on the PSE, potentially boosting market activity and providing investors with more diverse opportunities.
