Samsung has officially launched the 990 series SSD in the Philippines, with pricing announced by tech news site WalasTech. The new drive marks the successor to the popular 980 series, targeting gamers and content creators who demand high-speed storage.
The Samsung 990 SSD features PCIe 4.0 technology with read speeds of up to 7,450 MB/s and write speeds of up to 6,900 MB/s, making it one of the fastest consumer drives available. It utilizes Samsung's proprietary V-NAND and controller technology to deliver improved power efficiency and thermal management.
The drive is available in 1TB and 2TB capacities, priced at PHP 8,990 and PHP 15,990 respectively. Samsung offers a 5-year limited warranty, and the SSD is already available through authorized retailers nationwide.
