Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has officially launched the Land Cruiser HEV in the local market, with prices starting at PHP 6.93 million, as reported by TechPinas. The hybrid electric vehicle variant was first previewed during the 10th Philippine International Motor Show and represents Toyota's continued push toward electrification while preserving the Land Cruiser's reputation for durability and off-road capability.

The Land Cruiser nameplate carries more than seven decades of heritage, dating back to its introduction as the Jeep BJ in 1951. The iconic SUV has evolved through multiple generations, building a passionate following in the Philippines since the Land Cruiser 80 arrived in 1990. The new hybrid variant adds an electrified powertrain to Toyota's lineup of mobility solutions, aiming to reduce carbon emissions while delivering the performance and dependability the model is known for.

Available starting June 24, the Land Cruiser HEV combines hybrid technology with the SUV's legendary toughness, offering customers a more fuel-efficient alternative without compromising off-road prowess. TMP's move reflects a broader industry trend toward electrification in the Philippine automotive market, where hybrid and electric vehicles are gradually gaining traction among consumers seeking lower emissions and operating costs.
