State-run National Transmission Corp. (TransCo) has filed an application with the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) seeking to raise the feed-in tariff allowance (FIT-All) for 2027, proposing a rate of P0.2154 per kilowatt-hour (kWh), according to a report by BusinessWorld.
The FIT-All is a uniform charge passed on to electricity consumers and is used to compensate renewable energy (RE) producers under the government’s feed-in tariff program, which incentivizes the development of solar, wind, biomass, and run-of-river hydro projects. TransCo administers the fund and collects the charge on behalf of RE generators.
The proposed 2027 rate is higher than the current level, reflecting adjustments to meet the guaranteed payments to eligible RE plants. The ERC will evaluate the application and set the final FIT-All amount, which typically takes effect in January of the following year, affecting residential and other end-users nationwide.
