Ambassador Akyol expressed interest in collaborating on projects that align with Turkey's expertise in large-scale infrastructure, including transportation, energy, and water management. The Philippine government has been actively seeking foreign investment to accelerate its infrastructure agenda, which includes railways, bridges, and ports under the Build Better More program.
The Luzon Economic Corridor, a key component of the US-led Indo-Pacific Economic Framework, aims to enhance connectivity and economic growth in the region. Turkish companies, known for their robust construction capabilities, view this as an opportunity to expand their presence in Southeast Asia, potentially leading to joint ventures with local firms.
