Türkiye is bringing 12 food manufacturers and exporters to the Philippines this month to seek local business partners, as part of a series of industry missions planned as it works to deepen bilateral trade and eventually increase Turkish investment in the country, the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye said. The companies will participate in business-to-business meetings and site visits, according to a report by BusinessWorld.
The delegation represents sectors including dried fruits, nuts, olive oil, canned goods, and confectionery. The mission is expected to identify Philippine importers and distributors interested in Turkish food products, which are recognized for their quality and halal certification. The initiative aligns with Türkiye's broader strategy to expand its export markets in Southeast Asia.
Bilateral trade between Türkiye and the Philippines reached $553 million in 2025, with Turkish exports accounting for the majority. The embassy emphasized that such missions aim to create a more balanced trade relationship and eventually attract Turkish investments in Philippine manufacturing and logistics sectors.
