U.S. activewear brand Vuori plans to more than double its retail footprint in China, aiming to increase its store count from eight to 20 by the end of next year, according to a report by Inside Retail Asia.

The expansion underscores Vuori’s growing confidence in the Chinese market, where it first entered in 2023. The brand, known for its premium yoga and athletic apparel, has been expanding internationally to diversify revenue streams amid a competitive U.S. market. Its China stores are located in key cities such as Shanghai and Beijing, with new locations planned for second-tier cities.

Vuori’s push comes as global activewear brands increasingly target China’s health-conscious consumers. The company, which has also expanded into Europe and other parts of Asia, sees China as a major growth driver. The planned store growth represents a significant acceleration from its current pace of roughly four openings per year.
